Boiler Scrappage Scheme Launched

Households who currently have ‘G’ rated boilers in their homes could be eligible for a £400 voucher from the Energy Saving Trust to put towards the cost of installing either a more efficient boiler or renewable heating system, such as solar heating or air source heat pumps.

The introduction of these government grants shows the dedication to green energy sources and reducing the UK’s carbon footprint. Additionally, this gives consumers the option to reduce their fuels bills at a time when traditional fuel sources are becoming depleted and rapidly more expensive.

The first vouchers are set to be issued on the 18th January with £50million set aside by the government for this scheme alone.
