Channel 4 highlights Government grant programmes in recent prime time shows

A recent home improvement programme on Channel4 has highlighted just how many people could be eligible for government grants such as the Low Carbon Building Programme. Grants for air source heat pumps can equate to as much as 30% of the cost of purchase and installation. The Government aims to enable more and more people to consider installing a green energy source.

And with OFGEN suggesting that the cost of gas and electricity could rise by up to 60% by 2016 not only can potential greener households benefit from grants for purchase and installation but cost savings in the long term from lower utility bills.

Applications for a grant are relatively simple and can be made easily online after a quote has been received from an accredited supplier. It is important to note though that some initial energy efficiency measures have to be taken to ensure energy usage is minimised prior to installation.

With prime time programmes highlighting monetary help available for turning to greener energy solutions it only makes sense that adoption of air source heat pump technology is set to rise dramatically over the coming decade.

Why choose us?

Green Air Central Heating is a provider of cost-efficient eco heating systems designed specifically for domestic homeowners. The Green Air Central Heating Systems utilise air source heat pumps, which work much more efficiently than traditional home heating systems and are able to reduce your home heating bill considerably.

The significant difference to other suppliers of air source heat pump is that Green Air exclusively employs Mitsubishi Ecodan heat pumps. The Ecodan air source heat pump unit is a reliable technology, developed especially for domestic heating and considered as the market leading product. It delivers efficient energy, which means that for every £1 spend on electricity, the air source heat pump generates between £3 to £5 worth of energy. In comparison an oil or gas boiler only produces between 55p and 95p worth of heat for every £1 of fuel burned. This air to water heating system works by extracting, concentrating and transferring the heat from the air and turning it into energy which can then be used to heat hot water for the home.
