Climate change and what you can do

Over the last hundred years the temperature or climate near the earth’s surface has gradually increased, and is predicted to increase further in coming years due to the effects of greenhouse gases. A rising climate could have devastating consequences, some of which you can argue we are already seeing. From freak weather conditions such as the snow recently seen across Britain to rising sea levels which could increase the number of floods seen across the world, climate change could have a devastating effect.

Governments across the globe have congregated on many occasions to put into place measures that will help control climate change including the most recent and well known Kyoto Agreement. The climate of the world does vary naturally over time, but the large increase in temperature in recent years can be attributed to human behaviour such as the burning of fossil fuels and an ever increasing population. Agreements such as Kyoto and the UK Climate Act set markers and deadlines for the decrease of greenhouse gases emitted into the earths atmosphere.

There are many ways in which every individual can positively affect climate change though. Around 40% of detrimental gas emissions in the United Kingdom come from individual usage, such as for heating and driving. By implementing a green energy solution such as an air source heat pump you could dramatically decrease your emissions and reduce your carbon footprint, as well as also decreasing your annual heating bills.

Why choose us?

Green Air Central Heating is a provider of cost-efficient eco heating systems designed specifically for domestic homeowners. The Green Air Central Heating Systems utilise air source heat pumps, which work much more efficiently than traditional home heating systems and are able to reduce your home heating bill considerably.

The significant difference to other suppliers of air source heat pump is that Green Air exclusively employs Mitsubishi Ecodan heat pumps. The Ecodan air source heat pump unit is a reliable technology, developed especially for domestic heating and considered as the market leading product. It delivers efficient energy, which means that for every £1 spend on electricity, the air source heat pump generates between £3 to £5 worth of energy. In comparison an oil or gas boiler only produces between 55p and 95p worth of heat for every £1 of fuel burned. This air to water heating system works by extracting, concentrating and transferring the heat from the air and turning it into energy which can then be used to heat hot water for the home.
